• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts including procurement, supply of goods and services, research collaborations, intellectual property matters, and partnership agreements.
• Supporting colleagues across multiple departments by delivering clear guidance on risk management, compliance issues, data protection requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify potential legal risks
• Assisting in the resolution of disputes by advising on pre-litigation strategy, alternative dispute resolution options, and liaising with external counsel when necessary.
• Delivering engaging training sessions for staff on key legal topics such as contract management, data protection obligations, and intellectual property rights.
• Maintaining accurate records of all legal matters handled, ensuring confidentiality is preserved at all times while supporting transparency within the team.

• Be a qualified as a solicitor or barrister in England & Wales with significant post-qualification experience in commercial law.
• Have experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-specialist audiences.
• You are well-versed in data protection legislation (including GDPR) as it applies to commercial transactions within large organisations.
