Junior Legal Counsel - 12mth FTC - £50-52k

Global professional services business looking for a Junior Legal Counsel with commercial contracts experience to join their team to cover a maternity leave for a 12 month period. This is on a hybrid working basis for 4 days in the office for the first six months, and then 3 days after that.

On a day-to-day basis, the role will involve:

  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing and commercial agreements, as well as assisting the business in negotiations with clients and suppliers
  • Helping the business on contractual terms with clients to ensure deals and transactions reach a successful conclusion
  • Advising the business on ad hoc queries relating to the sector
  • Reviewing contracts relating to areas such as IT, marketing and employment
  • Assisting with litigation matters including responding to basic county court claims.

This position requires a qualified lawyer with at least 1 year PQE, although applications from all levels will be considered on merit. You must be able to demonstrate a solid track record of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Any litigation experience would be helpful but not essential. In addition to UK qualified solicitors, lawyers admitted overseas are welcome to apply as well.

This role requires somebody who can start at the end of February.
