Iconic business in the creative sector looking for a Data Protection Officer on an interim basis, whilst they go through the process of securing a permanent hire (the temporary incumbent can also be considered for the permanent role, should they wish). The offices are in Central London and this will be on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days per week required in the office. You must be available to start immediately.
The Data Protecion Officer will be responsible for leading the organisation’s data privacy program globally. The day-to-day remit includes:
- Reviewing the business’ global data protection and governance strategy to ensure that it is fit for purpose and implementing any necessary changes
- Providing pragmatic, regulatory guidance to ensure the implementation of data policies and processes
- Undertaking detailed Privacy Impact Assessments
- Leading meetings to ensure stakeholders (incl Legal, Marketing, IT, and InfoSec) are aligned on data protection requirements and taking action where required
- Collaborating with the Information Security function (InfoSec) to maintain records of all data assets and exports, and maintain a data security incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents including impact assessment, security breaches, complaints, claims or notifications and respond to subject access requests
- Working closely with the business to ensure data compliance in all transformation projects
- Managing data privacy contracts with third party data processors. Review supplier and client agreements, including international data transfer measures.
This Data Protection Officer role requires an individual with at least 5 years’ experience of data privacy matters, ideally having undertaken a similar leadership role.
