Our client, a household name in the Consumer goods industry, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their UK and Ireland team. This will be a largely commercial role where you will have the opportunity to manage a number of brands in their portfolio, covering a range of commercial contracts, partnering with internal brand teams and working cross-functionally with global teams.

Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel, key responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, review and negotiating contracts for a variety of commercial and legal agreements such as NDAs, marketing, sales, distributor, supplier, consumer, and partnership agreements.
• Support and work with internal teams to implement key campaigns and initiatives.
• Provide legal advice to supporting functions across the wider business.
• Manage corporate governance for multiple entities.
• Collaborating with internal UK&I and Global teams to improve processes across the business.
• Liaising with and managing external parties where required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Commonwealth qualified lawyer with 2-4 PQE gained in private practice or within an in-house environment (however all candidates will be considered on merit).
• Prior experience in the Consumer or Retail industries will be favourable.
• Experience with competition law, IP, GDPR and consumer products will be well-regarded.
• Strong analytical and technical drafting abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Confident and calm under pressure, with a positive can-do attitude.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrates efficient time management and organisational skills.
