A very commercial role within the start-up FinTech, offering a fast paced and exciting array of work in an industry/environment that rewards creative thinking. As the second legal counsel joining the team you will be working alongside the General Counsel who is already a well-known figure in the tech market. The required background is commercial contracts, a strong track record in software licensing and SaaS agreements is essential but the work will be varied as the position supports the business directly. Beyond commercial contracts, advising the business on data protection, including agreements related to data processing and supporting data privacy processes, policies and issues.
About the Commercial Contracts Lawyer.
The commercial contracts lawyer should be between 2-7 PQE as excellent technical drafting skills are required and the ability to work independently as well as within the legal and business teams is part of the position.
Experience with software licensing and SaaS agreements is essential.
You will have the ability to horizon scan and foresee possibly regulatory change that could impact the company and advise the business accordingly with a strategic approach.
An understanding of GDPR and related processes, policies and contractual undertakings would be a benefit.
