Private Funds Senior Legal Counsel with international bank

Background: Our client is a leading international bank who are seeking to hire an experienced private funds lawyer for their Alternative Funds team. Candidates moving directly from private practice will be considered but, there is a slight preference for some in-house experience. This candidate should be UK qualified and have a minimum of 5 years PQE.

Key responsibilities:

  • Offer legal assistance to the Alternative Funds business, focusing on fund establishment, investment, and mandates.
  • Provide guidance on the implementation of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices concerning alternative funds, including their marketing and distribution.
  • Oversee legal risk for the Global Alternatives business, ensuring compliance with group policy requirements.

What will make you successful?

  • Minimum 5 PQE qualified, ideally UK qualified
  • Experience and knowledge of either fund establishment or fund investment (ideally within Real Estate, PE, Infrastructure and VC)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Great organisation and ability to priotise workload
