Key Responsibilities. The bank has over the past few years invested more than $15bn into growth and technology, aiming to make investing and banking as a whole a simpler, faster and overall a better process for the 21st Century with safety also being a key factor. With this comes the need for a lawyer to join an already well established team, working on a variety of contractual issues within the IT/IP space, training staff at various levels of seniority on the implementation of new tech and how to make sure it is being done so to a legal compliant perspective. The role also involves a large amount of strategic advise for global level stakeholders in the business.
The ideal candidate will have.
As the senior technology lawyer, you will have at least 8 years post qualification experience in IT/IP, having worked on a broad range of tech contracts (SaaS agreements, hardware agreements, cloud services agreements etc) as well as a solid ability to advise those not in a legal capacity on the issues surrounding any new tech.
Having a background in finance is not essential but would be a great advantage, however a general tech background would work well.
