A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a top tier US law firm who are looking for an experienced paralegal to join their Financial Services Regulatory team on an initial 6 month contract.
A top tier US law firm are looking for an experienced paralegal to join their busy Financial Services Regulatory team in their London office.
You will be a full and active member of a number of FS Regulatory project teams with opportunities to show initiative and work on tasks traditionally carried out by trainee solicitors and junior associates.
You will also have the same access to group meetings, training and other resources as trainee solicitors and associates to ensure that your knowledge and skills develop during the period of your employment. You will report directly to a number of FS Regulatory Partners and also have the opportunity to carry out a number of knowhow, group management and business development related tasks that will further develop your knowledge and skills base.
To be considered, you must have good academic qualifications, be highly motivated, professional in demeanour, organised and adaptable. Ideally you will have passed the LPC but candidates will also be considered who have substantive legal work experience, in particular those who have worked in a regulatory, fund structuring or fund deal execution team at a law firm. You must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers, staff and clients. The position will involve significant daily contact by email and telephone with legal contacts at other law firms (and, potentially, with client contacts). Strong project management and sound judgement skills are necessary.
This is not a 9-5 role. You are part of a busy team which may involve late evening and/or weekend working, for which overtime will be paid.
