Lead Test Engineer - AWS - Cypress/ Selenium - API - Automation - Fully Remote Available/ Manchester -up to £70k + 20% Bonus, Car Allowance, 11% Pension, Private Medical

With a number of significant Growth Programs underway, the company is undertaking a radical transformation with their technology landscape, to ensure that their websites, systems and data can best support the Organisation into the future.

One of the foundations of this transformation requires the implementation of a robust software testing capability. In doing this will enable confidence within their in-house built solutions or 3rd party integration's, which ultimately will enable CI/CD practises. This will increase velocity, time to market and revenue growth.

As a Lead Test Engineer, you will focus on driving our QA and Test Automation strategy, ensuring quality whilst enabling the business to deliver change at pace, change direction, and get product to market quickly. Our agile delivery practices support this goal, so test automation within our quality processes is key.

Role Responsibilities

  • Creating automation scripts to cover new functionality and maintenance of existing scripts.
  • Using Automation to test API services & adding this automation into build pipelines.
  • Creating Automation frameworks from scratch using Cypress or Selenium
  • Working on Continuous Integration tools in parallel with the Development and DevOps squads.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS (Certified Cloud Practitioner Advantageous).
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the team

Key Skills

  • Experience leading QA teams with a focus on driving increasing levels of automation.
  • Ability to influence business stakeholders by clear communication and relating Test Automation to business value.
  • Tuned into the latest approaches and advances in Test Automation.
  • Experience in technology with an emphasis on QA and proven ability of Manual Testing.
  • Experience of Load testing, creating automation frameworks and managing multiple projects at once.
  • Experience of both traditional testing methodologies and testing within an Agile Management software development environment.
  • ISTQB Certification & AWS Certifications

Please note due to the nature of the work this role does require someone to have lived and work in the UK for 3 years to gain their CTC.
