Data Architect (Manager) – Permanent Location – London & other regions Remote Our client, a well-known, multi-national provider of professional services across a global market and one of the foremost authorities in the provision of these services and in the throes of wide reaching digital transformation and are looking to improve their current operations across the UK. As a leading provider of professional services in their market, they are now looking for a Data Architect to join their Data team. As a manager you will be responsible for leading team within large projects in strategy, design and implementation. You will support in building and developing the data architecture sub-capability as well as helping your colleagues and charges develop professionally.
Responsibilities
- In-depth current sector experience in either Banking, Capital Markets or Insurance with knowledge of key business drivers and key regulations in the industry
- The ability to build constructive working relationships both within the business (across different teams, functions and countries at all levels) and across client organisations, actively building a network and range of experiences to help address client needs
- Lead teams and / or workstreams, managing delivery, resources, budget, risks and issues
- Experience working with subject matter experts and project teams to define, document and communicate data requirements
- A proven track record of working with stakeholders to assess scope of work, developing business cases for data change and delivering benefits by leveraging industry insights
- An up-to-date view of industry trends, tools and technology in order to develop and drive insights to provide compelling and well-thought-out solutions to problems of high complexity
- The ability to support winning new business through the development of bid responses
- Supports the growth of the practice through driving internal initiatives, coaching and developing junior colleagues
Criteria
- Proven experience architecting solutions that contain a mix of cloud-based solutions and on-premise legacy applications.
- Hands on experience with end to end Data Architecture Design.
- Hands on experience with end to end Design of Data Warehouse and Big Data solutions.
- Strong track record in data Model Design including relational, dimensional and No-SQL techniques.
- Srong knowledge of data Integration technologies and techniques like ETL, ELT, real time data ingestion and API based integration.
- Architecture Governance and Data Management including data standards, design principles, data quality, metadata management and data lineage
- Demonstrable experience in building, managing and optimising integration pipelines
- Strong In-depth SQL knowledge and database experience working on relational, dimensional and NoSQL techniques.
- Hands -on experience in Data Integration technologies and techniques like ETL, Unix scripting, real time data ingestion and API based integration.
- Experience in data modelling, including exposure to Kimball dimensional modelling
