Senior Project Manager

Robert Walters is currently working with a global Financial Technology company. They specialise in offering financial solutions for several markets including wealth management, investment banking, and capital markets. Due to an immense amount of growth that they have had over the past 12 months, they are keen to appoint a senior project manager, offering a salary between £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, on a hybrid working model, based in their Birmingham offices.

As an experienced Project Manager, responsible for all aspects of those projects assigned from initiation to closure. Projects may be focused on marketing, sales, finance/accounting, legal, business planning, business operations, customer service, business regulatory or technical subjects and typically involves extensive interactions with cross-functional teams of various functional areas of the business.

Senior Project Manager - Duties:

• Plans and coordinates all aspects of projects from initiation through delivery
• Manages project initiation activities that include identifying contractual obligations, client or business needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed.
• Ensures requirements for all internal projects align to operational standards. Develop alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate.
• Manages project risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure project goals (e.g., deadline, scope and quality) are achieved.
• Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical teams, in internal organisations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organisations, to ensure all project targets and requirements are met.

• To demonstrate strong use of judgement and decision making
• Proven track record of successful delivery of large programmes and portfolios of work
• Prince 2 Qualification
• Stakeholder Management
• Flexibility to recognise, adapt and work effectively
• Full organisation awareness
• Full working knowledge of required software tools including Microsoft Project
