I'm currently working with a Merseyside based client to recruit an interim Applications Manager. This role has arisen due to a secondment and will last for 10 months.
Based in Merseyside, the business has a need for a contract Applications Manager to join the team. With 2 direct reports and 8 indirect, the role requires a candidate with good managerial experience alongside application understanding and technical capability.
This role is very much a hands off, managerial role and requires a candidate that is able to advise on good practice, problem and incident management, with the ability to understand issues whilst maintaining and improving the reliability and stability of application platforms. Additionally, the Applications Manager will be communicating with vendors, so strong vendor management and communication skills are essential.
The business is currently working with an ITIL environment, so a candidate with an ITIL understanding would be ideal. Current applications used include;
CRM, Dynamics, Office 365 etc, so an understanding of web applications in this area is desirable.
