The Role
The Product Enterprise Platform Delivery Manager is accountable for the delivery of technology transformation projects that are aligned with the overall platform strategy.
Working collaboratively with their counterparts across Strategy and Architecture, Service Delivery, Security and Engineering teams, the role holder will rapidly develop a detailed understanding of the opportunities and risks present within the current environment, before utilising industry knowledge and influence, to shape, plan and prioritise the building of solutions aligned to identified opportunities and risks. Combining knowledge of enterprise scale technology transformation and experience of internal delivery, the Enterprise Platform Delivery Manager will look to engage with Platform vendors and advisory colleagues, to take this thought leadership to the wider market and clients. As such the Enterprise Platform Delivery Manager will need to be confident, articulate and able to deliver technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Candidates who have experience in migration of on premise systems to cloud based and focussing on adopting cloud native services around security and data will be advantageous.
Requirements
• Helps to define and shape the enterprise platform strategy, roadmaps and principles for the use of enterprise platforms, ensuring technologies are used efficiently, securely and cost effectively, balancing the need for long term investment with the quality day to day delivery of services.
• Has and maintains a broad knowledge and understanding of public/private cloud platform technologies and develops connections within industry, academia and technology partners to ensure that knowledge is up to date with the latest industry thinking and trends.
• Deputises for the Head Of Enterprise Platform where required on enterprise platform topics to provide consistent representation at technology governance, programme boards/ project SteerCo’s and demand forums
• Works in conjunction with Strategy and Architecture to construct a deep relationship with the Global Firm, to ensure awareness of key technology initiatives that could support the UK’s strategy and direction of investment; ensuring that future Global initiatives are informed by our requirements.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships between the Core Infrastructure team and other senior stakeholders such as CTO’s, capability leads in the UK firm, especially the KBS CTO, ensure understand of their needs and how Core Infrastructure can support them.
• Works closely with Service Delivery Excellence and Connected Engineering Leads to ensure and demonstrate enterprise platform technology strategies and guidelines are cost effective, e.g. Standardisation of technology, retirement and decommissioning, development standards and methodologies, Support and Development models etc.
• Proposes and gains approval for new current & future enterprise platform technology propositions, eliciting business requirements and creating business cases (incl. Cost/Benefit Analysis) to support this.
• Seeks to influence enterprise platform technology design by promoting the creation of reusable patterns and components, providing strict adherence to security and compliance directives
• Accountable for delivery of new developments from introductions of new Global technology products to ad hoc large technology programs, by using Connected Engineering and Service Delivery teams and their suppliers
• Develops, operationalises and ensures seamless handover of Platform infrastructure services to the newly created Service Delivery Excellence team.
