An SME financial and legal services firm in South Manchester is hiring a newly created IT Manager position that reports to their Chief Executive. You will be joining the company in a busy period growth and you'll inherit a team that covers software development, infrastructure/support & PMO/change management.
The key features of the role are:
-Developing, managing and delivering effective IT strategies.
-Identifying and implementing technology to innovate and improve key business processes.
-Managing a consistent platform for all user software, hardware and databases that is stable, secure, reliable and scalable as the business grows.
-Managing the IT department’s workload to ensure IT issues are resolved within agreed SLAs using KPIs and other objectives and measures.
-Defining the scope of the Change Management processes, function and controls.
-Preparing and managing the annual IT budget.
-Managing all outsourcing and supplier relationships.
-Line management of team members in the IT team, conducting one to one's, annual appraisals and performance management.
What skills you have that would make you successful in this role:
-You have a track record in IT management, people management and leadership.
-You can bring knowledge and awareness of ITIL (any certifications would be great).
-You pride yourself on having excellent influencing, motivational & communication skills.
-You hold existing experience leading a team that has an internal software development team.
-You have proven negotiation skills and are able to manage risks.
-Experience in Microsoft server and desktop environments is key.
-You've managed and administered enterprise telephony systems in your career.
