A global leader in private education are hiring an IT Applications Manager to Develop and maintain key applications in their finance function. This organisation has extensive growth plans and significant capital from a private equity backer. The IT Applications Manager (Finance) will develop, maintain and support IT applications & platforms through their lifecycle for the Finance organisation, such as: -Navision -TM1 / Reporting -Cash Management -Treasury
You'll become a key leader in a team of which your influence will be able to shape an exciting future for this team whist supporting one of their critical business functions.
Key features of the IT Applications Manager (Finance) role:
-Manage and maintain applications as above on Amazon Web Services and Azure public cloud platforms.
-Execute project management tasks for IT projects.
-Maintain/adhere to a common set of practices, principles and templates for project implementation and ensure that application owners follow the defined standards.
-Research, develop, and maintain ‘best-in-class’ technologies standard to be shared and adopted by the group.
-Liaise with different teams and vendors in order to provide application maintenance and support to meet the users expectations
-Review and monitor the applications of IT General Controls.
-Establish SLAs with business owner, ensure adherence to SLAs through rigorous vendor Management.
You will need most of the following to be successful in this role:
-Leadership experience in an enterprise application development/maintenance function.
-Ideally you'll have a hands on background in application development/maintenance.
-Experience in business analysis and understanding of core business processes.
-Experience in business IT audits and controls.
-Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
-Good understanding of business processes.
-Peerless service skills and ethos.
-Able to work to challenging deadlines.
