IT Field Engineer / Altrincham / £33,000
A market leading Healthcare company have the opportunity for an IT Field engineer to join the business providing onsite 2nd line support across multiple sites/offices across the North west.
The position is a mobile role providing appropriate assistance and customer support to internal customers. Providing changes to branch and office infrastructure and end user computing. This includes both BAU and project work as required.
Experience & Responsibilities:
- Provide On-site support where there is a requirement to be physically present at the location.
- Managed router deployment.
- Carryout physical site surveys.
- Ensure that physical cabling (i.e. RJ-45 Ethernet jacks, RJ-11 telephone modem jacks, connectors between PCs and servers, etc.) are in proper working order in all locations
- Experience in WAN and LAN deployments, installation and configuration of telephone systems, and cabling infrastructures.
- Experience of basic troubleshooting on Laptops/Desktops/Thin Clients.
- Experience of basic switch configuration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies (Windows 10).
- Experience with using and troubleshooting Outlook within a network environment
- Experience within a multi-site business
