This position has opened due to expansion – the Infrastructure and Network Engineer will be part of a small team working directly with the Infrastructure and Information Security Manager – an opportunity to expand your knowledge and skillset!

2^nd Line Infrastructure and Network Engineer – Manchester (Hybrid working)

£38,000 + Excellent Benefits

This position has opened due to expansion – the Infrastructure and Network Engineer will be part of a small team working directly with the Infrastructure and Information Security Manager – an opportunity to expand your knowledge and skillset!

The 2^nd Line Infrastructure and Network Engineer will be responsible for:

• 2^nd Line Infrastructure BAU and projects

• Regular maintenance and upgrades for their infrastructure

• Project work – upgrades and roll-outs

The key skills and experience required:

• Azure Cloud Knowledge

• Experience with Virtualisation (Hyper-V/VMware)

• Office 365

• Networking experience (WAN/LAN/Switches)

• Traffic analysis and monitoring tools (eg. Wireshark)

• Cisco and Juniper (Netgear/Fortinet)

With a ‘start-up’ mentality you will be able to utilise your skills in Networking – there will be plenty of projects, from new technologies and upgrading infrastructure!

This is the ideal position for someone who has strong Infrastructure and Networking experience and is looking to move into 3^rd line work, working more closely with Security and Infrastructure. You will be working closely with the Infrastructure and Security manager who will take you under his wing moving forward, who has a wealth of Networking knowledge.

The successful candidate will have a training programme built around them, bringing them up to speed in key areas, as well as developing your career and skillset moving forward!
