Initially you will be working on supporting the current business IT infrastructure ensuring all systems are monitored and any issues are promptly resolved. As the business transitions into a Hybrid cloud model you will then take the lead on various projects to ensure the move is efficient and in line with the companies needs. Vmware/Hyper-V / Netapp / Cisco Networking /Windows Server /Azure.

An exciting time to be part of a business moving their IT Infrastructure from on premise to a Hybrid cloud model.

Initially you will be working on supporting the existing IT infrastructure ensuring all systems are monitored and any issues are promptly resolved.

As the business then transitions into a Hybrid cloud model you will take lead on various projects to ensure the move is efficient and in line with the ongoing business requirements.

Experience of Vmware/Hyper-V / Netapp / Cisco Networking /Windows Server /Azure will be needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be building high performing, scalable and secure systems and networks.

• Configuration and maintenance of all cloud services and virtual infrastructure.

• Work with a cloud first mentality, providing solutions to the business.

• Ensure that IT security and compliance are lined up to the business needs.

• Take responsibility for Cyber Security and provide ongoing solutions that can meet the changes requirements of the business.

• Identify infrastructure related risks.

• BCP/DR design and testing from an IT Infrastructure point of view

• Embed a best practice approach for cloud, virtulisation and WAN optimisation.

• Provide technical guidance and support for projects.

• Provide input into the wider IT company strategy.

• Take the lead on any IT projects that are designated from the business and ensure they are carried through the completion.

• Take ownership of mentoring and training junior IT staff to ensure their continued development.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Strong working knowledge of Vmware/Hyper-V / Netapp / Cisco Networking /Windows Server /Azure or another Cloud Technology.

• Patching and Firmware Management.

• Exposure to WAN/MPLS and associated systems: Firewalls/NAT/VPN

• Cyber Security, both technology implementation and business practice.

• Able to work autonomously and be confident in making decisions.

• Ability to focus on the wider impact rather than simply dealing with the immediate requirements.

• Risk identification and management

• Familiar with change control

• A hands-on, good problem solver with excellent communication skills.
