A market leading Healthcare company require a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to work closely with the Head of Infrastructure to support their sites across the UK. This is a highly technical role where you will be responsible for maintaining, managing and delivering the companies infrastructure so experience with networking and servers is essential.
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:
- Working with the Head of Infrastructure to maintain business appropriate secure systems.
- Management and maintenance of antivirus and security systems.
- Act as a point of escalation and provide guidance to service desk and Infrastructure engineers.
- Create and maintain systems configuration documentation including creating recovery methods of all systems
- Keep up-to-date on infrastructure and security trends
- On-going proactive maintenance of Server and Network systems
The key skills and experience required:
- Windows Server (up to 2019)
- Hypervisors (VMware and Hyper-V)
- Networking knowledge
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and high availability technologies
- Knowledge of different monitoring technologies (SolarwWinds, SNMP, MIB)
- Knowledge of telephony systems (SIP Trunking and Routing)
The desirable skills/ Qualifications:
- Sophos Anti-Virus
- Cisco
- Wireless Networking
- SQL
- MCSE/ MCITP/ CCNA or Equivalent
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to take a step up into a senior position where you will take responsibility for all on-premise Infrastructure and networks acting as a touchpoint for key stakeholders in project work, management escalations and major incidents.
