Information Security Analyst

A Higher Education institution are looking to bolster their Information Security team to help secure their estate. With a team that will be 5 strong once you are brought in, you’ll have experienced colleagues to help guide and support your progression and everyday activities. Ideally, you’ll have either Security Operations experience or a few years’ supporting intrusion detection and vulnerability management. Someone from an Infrastructure/IT Support background would be perfect as you’ll be working across the IT estate.

Information Security Analyst – Liverpool

£53,000 Per Anum + Benefits (Flexible working)

A Higher Education institution are looking to bolster their Information Security team to help secure their estate. With a team that will be 5 strong once you are brought in, you’ll have experienced colleagues to help guide and support your progression and everyday activities.

Ideally, you’ll have either Security Operations experience or a few years’ supporting intrusion detection and vulnerability management. Someone from an Infrastructure/IT Support background would be perfect as you’ll be working across the IT estate.

The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for:

• Triaging Security Incidents

• Assist in Security monitoring and alerting

• Manage vulnerability scans

• Collaborate on Information Security Assessments

The key skills and experience required:

• Experience of SIEM tools (Splunk/Sentinels)

• Experience with different frameworks (ISO/Cyber Essentials +)

• Risk management exposure

• Experience across Server Technologies (Windows estate)

Desirable:

• Security Certifications (CISSP/CEH)

• Knowledge of GRC

You’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies, implementing them into your day-to-day to make sure the company is secure.
