The General Medical Council helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met. We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join the GMC’s Enterprise System’s team, which plays a central role in all major projects within the organisation.
You will be empowered to work with stakeholders within the business, but also within other core Enterprise Systems sub-teams, to understand the large processes that govern doctors being registered and ultimately define requirements for our new products to support our customers.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Strong experience in Business Analysis in an Enterprise level environment
- Tangible experience of using relevant documentation / diagramming techniques
- Expertise in workshop skills for requirements gathering & idea generation
- Understanding of the end-to-end project and software development lifecycles
- Experience in working in Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
You’ll work on a portfolio of projects which will centre-around (but not limited to) the GMC’s core CRM system. You’ll be responsible for understanding and documenting the needs of the business stakeholders, utilising proven elicitation techniques, guiding and challenging where necessary. You’ll be required to produce high-quality analysis and design deliverables that can be easily consumed by our in-house development teams.
About the Company
At the GMC, you’ll find a career in a stimulating workplace, with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and opportunities to develop and progress – in an organisation that really makes a difference. In return, you’ll benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. We offer an attractive salary and benefits package.
The GMC values diversity and has made a public commitment to processes and procedures that are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination.
