Having recently undertaken a transformation from legacy BI platforms to Power BI to provide a modern, intuitive, self-service BI offering to all areas of the business, the BI Analyst will perform a central role in the analysis and design of BI requirements and deliverables. In addition, the BI Analyst will be an integral member of the team responsible for increasing the value and insight of data within the organisation through enhancements to our data warehouse, ETL functionality, and adoption of cloud-based data services.
Requirements:
Power BI Development including the data model, DAX, and visualizations
Power BI Administration
Relational and Dimensional (Kimball) data modelling
Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL and PL/SQL)
SQL Server Database
Oracle Database
Knowledge of ETL Tools and processes (e.g SSIS, ODI, Informatica, Data Factory)
Key Technologies:
Power BI
SQL Server Database
Oracle Database
Splunk
Desirable Technologies:
Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS)
Knowledge of analytic database functionality (partitioning, compression, column-store technologies)
