Our client is a central part of the UK Financial Services industry with a very unique position and view across this space. They are looking to hire a Product Solution Architect - Data and Analytics Specialist, with experience in creating strategies, roadmaps and architectural delivery plans, using formal architectural methodologies and has a proven history as a Solution Architect into a niche area of Technology/ Innovation asap.
The hire sits of part of the firms’ Data and Analytics teams who’s products are a key component of the Data Strategy, enabling our client to reduce harm now and in the future by supporting the collection, storage, reporting, analytics and publishing of data.
This Product Solution Architect role will involve creating product roadmaps used for delivery capabilities of the products' solution design, alongside delivering architectural solutions, covering required product integration and ensuring all relevant architecture domains align with enterprise strategies.
Key aspects of the work will include:
- Analysis and critique of artefacts created by external suppliers and internal teams across Data and Analytics; to fulfil quality requirements and strategic visions for the product group
- Identifying opportunities for product innovation across Data and Analytics and shaping of design proposals
- Underpinning integration and functional testing to support business compliance
- Providing advice and guidance to other employees through leadership, coaching and mentoring to build the overall business and its technical and product architect capabilities
Skills/ Experience Required:
- Proven history as a Solution Architect, ideally with a focus on Data, Data Tooling/ Innovation and Analytics (i.e. Data, Applications, and Infrastructure)
- Proficient knowledge of UML and other Technical/ business modelling tools
- Domain experience from within Financial Services, Government/ Regulatory bodies
- Experience of creating strategies, roadmaps and architectural delivery plans
- High level of understanding of working with formal architectural methodologies and frameworks, including TOGAF, and architecture modelling tools (EA Sparx, RSA etc.)
- Significant experience of using development methodologies (e.g. Prince2, RUP, Scrum, Agile) to work through end to end projects and/or product delivery lifecycles
