The role of the HR Advisor will be to be the first point of contact for Managers to provide advice, support, and guidance with a focus on performance management and employee relations.
The HR Advisor will work closely with the HR Business Partners and Administrators to implement people strategy.
The role will be responsible for ensuring a fair and consistent HR delivery throughout the organisation, whilst promoting a positive culture within the business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategy, Data, and Change:
- Participate in solutions for restructuring, including any TUPE processes (UK specific).
- Assist with HR related projects when required, provide necessary data, and coordinate the project.
- Assist with the development and introduction of new or revised HR policies and processes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of change in the organisation by using data.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, changes, and other relevant data.
Employee Relations:
- Provide guidance and advice to employees and managers on any employee related issues including, disciplinaries, grievances and long-term sickness. Ensure advice is in line with current local legislation and RW policies.
- Support the business in resolving matters of conflict at the earliest opportunity and advise managers on how to progress any formal processes within these areas.
- Develop effective relationships with the business and promote good employee relations across the organisation.
- Escalate any HR related concerns or cases to the HR Business Partner where advice is not acted on appropriately and where there is increased risk.
- Handle confidential HR matters with discretion and sensitivity.
- Assist with occupational health issues including arranging medical assessments, counseling and researching solutions as and when needed.
- Promote employee engagement and morale by fostering a positive work environment. Facilitate employee feedback mechanisms and implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction.
- Deliver HR-related communications such as policy changes, and organisational updates.
HR Leadership and Collaboration:
- Manage and support junior team members to effectively deliver a consistent HR service across the business. Coach members of the team and offer training and mentoring to drive better performance.
- Provide regular updates to the HR Business partner on key ER activities.
- Liaise with the HR Administrators on necessary administrative and payroll actions.
- Support the design and delivery of training programs and workshops for employees and managers on various topics such as performance management and leadership development.
Who you are:
- Ideally CIPD or similar qualified.
- Good interpersonal skills to be able to trust and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Good understanding of local employment legislation.
- Strong attention to detail when maintaining accurate data, documentation and any data related to employee information and processes.
- Flexibility where required to be able to change priorities and manage unexpected challenges in the business.
- Good time management skills when working towards deadlines and be able to offer HR support in a timely manner.
- Proficient on software such as Microsoft and ideally knowledge of HRIS D365 and PowerBI.
- Strong communicative skills, written and verbal.
