Payroll Advisor
A leading organisation in Liverpool is seeking a Payroll Advisor to join their Group HR Shared Service team. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of weekly payroll services, supporting both employees and management with expert guidance and dependable service. You will be part of a supportive and inclusive environment that values your commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. The organisation is dedicated to fostering a culture where everyone can thrive, offering flexible benefits, generous holiday allowances, and ongoing training opportunities to help you grow professionally. As a Payroll Advisor based in Liverpool within the Group HR Shared Service division, you will be responsible for delivering accurate weekly payroll processing for employees across the organisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve importing time data from attendance systems into payroll software, conducting rigorous checks for discrepancies, reconciling reports prior to authorisation, managing benefit selections, responding promptly to queries via email, and collaborating closely with colleagues across HR.
Specific duties include:
Your background as a Payroll Advisor means you bring hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll processes within a collaborative team environment. You have demonstrated reliability when handling sensitive data under strict deadlines while maintaining excellent standards of accuracy. Your proficiency with Microsoft Excel allows you to analyse large datasets efficiently; meanwhile your organisational skills enable you to manage competing priorities seamlessly. You are comfortable interpreting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) so that every action aligns with best practice. Your interpersonal strengths shine through in your professional communications—whether supporting colleagues or responding empathetically to employee queries—and your commitment to equality ensures everyone receives fair treatment. Above all else, your ethical approach guarantees confidentiality is always maintained.
