What you'll do:
As a Health and Safety Manager, your role will be pivotal in promoting health and safety awareness across the site. You will coordinate and monitor safety-related processes including risk assessment, training, accident investigation, workplace safety audits ensuring inspections are satisfactorily completed. Your expertise will be crucial in advising management on health & safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment and control measures.

- Understand and promote the use of company H&S Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) plan and support delivery of all associated actions.
- Arrange H&S courses, inductions, and meetings, producing materials and agendas as required.
- Facilitate the reporting and investigation of all H&S incidents, ensuring that root cause is identified.
- Coach and mentor managers to improve their investigation skills.

The ideal candidate for this Health and Safety Manager position brings a wealth of experience from a similar role within a logistics environment. You have proven your ability to assist with the effective implementation of a H&S management system. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build relationships quickly at all levels. You are organised, detail-oriented with good IT and data analysis skills. Your hands-on approach will be key in driving forward our client's health & safety initiatives.
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a logistics environment.
- Experienced in assisting with an effective implementation of a H&S management system.
- Effective interpersonal, management and communication skills.
- Good IT and data analysis skills.
- Hands-on approach.
