About the Role:

  • The role of the Employee Relations Advisor will be responsible for supporting the ER specialist and leading on employee relations / case management within the region. Case management will account for 90% of the time in the role.
  • The operating model of the HR function is dynamic and composed of the Centre’s of Expertise, HR Shared Services and Business Partnering.  
  • The Employee Relations Advisor will report into the ER Specialist and work closely with the HR Business Partners, Centre of Expertise, and Administrators to ensure policies and procedures are that relate to employee relations.
  • The role will be responsible for enhancing the relationship between RW and its employees, with a focus on creating and maintaining positive relationships, ensuring compliance with local labour laws, whilst promoting a positive culture within the business.


Responsibilities:


Strategy, Change, and Stakeholder Management

  • Work with the ER Specialist to Implement effective employee relation strategy aligned with the business’ goals and values.
  • Support employees in any potential restructuring process, include TUPE in and out
  • Recognise employee related trends in the business and identify areas of success and improvement using data and insight, use this to come up with solutions.

Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance and advice to employees and managers on any employee related issues including, disciplinaries, grievances and long-term sickness. Ensure advice is in line with local labour laws and business policies.
  • Support the business in resolving matters of conflict at the earliest opportunity and be involved in the advisory of any formal processes within these areas. Advise in the progression of such cases as may be necessary whilst handling with discretion and sensitivity.
  • Investigate and resolve employee related issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Coach line managers in getting the best from their teams and how to incorporate HR goals into daily activity. 

Collaboration:

  • Deliver training to upskill line managers to drive positive employee relations.


Who you are:

  • Proven experience advising on performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence management and general employee relations issues.
  • Strong understanding of local employment legislation.
  • Proficient on software such as Microsoft.
  • Proficient in software such as Microsoft and ideally knowledge of HRIS D365 and PowerBI. 
  • Strong communicative skills, written and verbal.
  • CIPD Level 5
