Diversity is a core value of our international business. With more than 4,000 employees in 31 countries around the world, we know that our diversity is our strength. In fact, in some countries such as Japan, we have up to 35 nationalities working for us.

    Robert Walters Group – specialists in professional recruitment – has announced the appointment of Coral Bamgboye as the Group’s permanent Global Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion – reporting directly into CEO Robert Walters. 

  • 2020

    Robert Walters Group UK Official Charity Partner: Mind - a charity providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Together, we campaign to raise awareness and promote understanding of work-related mental health illnesses. 

    Pearn Kandola - an organisation striving to make the modern workplace fair for everyone by promoting Diversity & Inclusion and eradicating prejudice and unfairness - is the Group’s official global diversity and inclusion partner.

    With the help of mental health experts, Robert Walters launched an e-guide to support employee mental health and wellbeing in times of rapid change or crisis, with tailored advice for HR leaders, line managers and remote workers.

    Robert Walters and Walters People UK recognised by Great Place to Work® as one of the Best Places For Women To Work in 2020. Our UK business ranked 18th place in the large organisations category.

    Launch of 'Burning the Candle: Strategies to Combat Workplace Burnout' e-guide explores strategies organisations can use to help battle burnout to ensure employees maintain a healthy relationship with their work.

    Official partner of UK charity StandOut, supporting ex-offenders in finding a job by providing CV and interview advice which in turn reduces their chances of reoffending.

    Launch of 'Driving Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace' research campaign: Striving for Gender Parity campaign launch; An Ageing Workforce campaign launch

    Official affiliates of the Disability Confident Government scheme - striving for equality for all in the workplace.

    Online skills testing introduced to Robert Walters Group hiring process, offering advanced testing platforms to mitigate bias and provide as much information on the skills level of the shortlist as possible.

    Pilot run with UK charity StandOut, which saw employees from our business providing interview advice and CV assistance to people leaving prison who are preparing to re-enter the workforce.

    Robert Walters Group partner with Movember and challenges staff to ‘Break the Cycle’ and start addressing mental health in the workplace.

    Shortlisted for Best Diversity Strategy at 2018 Recruiter Investing in Talent Awards.

    Launch of the bespoke in-house Adify tool, designed to help improve diversity and inclusion in your advert writing.

    The Group becomes official partner of OUTstanding. OUTstanding is a not-for-profit professional network for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) executives and their ally leaders.


    The Group is official partner of ENEI (Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion) to help push best practice forward in the workplace.

    Launch of Empowering Women in the Workplace thought leadership campaign -  a campaign developed to create conversation, connect professionals and provide information and advice to help women achieve career success.

    The Group named in the top 50 Leading Ally Executive Category by OUTstanding and The FT which acknowledges senior executives who are unwavering in their support for LGBT people in the workplace.

    Launch of  thought leadership research: Gender Diversity & Leadership, Attracting & Retaining Millennials and Recruiting in a Candidate Short Market.


    Introduction of Programmatic Advertising: This type of advertising targets candidates based on key  skills and  locations, rather than demographics or  characteristics. 

    On 1 January 2014, the Board implemented a policy to ensure that there will be an equal gender quota for any future long list for a Board appointment.


    Official members of 'Employers Forum on Disability' and 'Employers Forum on Age' with the intention of ensuring the Group is at the forefront of developments in diversity best practice.

    Official partners of Brokerage, a charity that helps create a pathway to the City for young residents of London’s inner-city boroughs.

    Official partners of East London Business Alliance, an organisation which supports the long-term unemployed through the running of workshops on CV writing and interview techniques.


    Robert Walters Group enhanced the diversity policy to ensure we hire purely on skills and experience. We have unconscious bias training for all our recruitment consultants and internal hiring managers by an external provider.
