Shipping Executive

A leading organisation in Reading is seeking a Shipping Executive to support its logistics team, coordinating import and export operations with a focus on scheduling, documentation and customs compliance. This role offers exposure to international trade, working closely with internal teams and external partners. What you’ll do

• Coordinate end-to-end import, export and cross-trade shipments
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers and third-party suppliers
• Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers
• Maintain accurate records for audits and operational reporting
• Manage customs entries, including Northern Ireland movements
• Resolve shipment issues, discrepancies and customer queries promptly
• Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities within logistics

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years’ experience in international logistics or export operations
• Qualification or training in international trade (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and customs processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
• Experience resolving delivery or compliance issues professionally
