A newly built Global Shared Service Function with a focus on finance and operations is looking to hire a Head of Risk, Control & Continuous Improvement to lead a small team and provide support to the Board of Director in the planning and execution of a number of projects across governance, risk and control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing and maintaining a sustainable and scalable programme of process enhancements, controls improvements and waste elimination initiatives
- Implementing automation technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Delivering service improvement across UK operations through performance improvement initiatives
- Delivering best practice performance improvement solutions
- Tracking delivery and performance of projects and managing corrective action where necessary
- Alignment of pipeline and workload to ensure consistency with the priorities of the Head of Finance Services, the Delivery Pillar Leads, the governance model and the UK business.
- The delivery of an incrementally improving control environment, with accompanying appropriate MI
- Delivery of cross-tower risk-focused processes and reporting
- Training, cross-training and re-enforcing best practise risk mitigation and control management approaches across the UK business
- A pipeline of innovation – new ideas for trialling and piloting control solutions
- Alignment of pipeline and workload to ensure consistency with the priorities of the Head of Finance Services, and divisional teams
The ideal candidate will have worked within a Group / multi-divisional structured business and/or within a Shared Service environment.
A core background in risk, control, governance with a leaning towards the creation and execution of improvement projects will be advantageous.
