An excellent opportunity is available with a most respected financial services business based in Solihull for an Operational Risk Manager who will ensure that the business is effectively identifying and managing operational risk.
- Undertake related analysis and reporting, provide pro-active, accurate, timely and commercial advice on operational risk matters for the business, enabling relevant areas to operate in accordance with regulatory standards, industry best practice and applicable Group standards.
- Work directly with the CRO but will also be required to build close relationships with the CRO team and Group Risk
- Whilst risks are owned by individual managers throughout the organisation, the Operational Risk Manager is responsible for the oversight of compliance with risk management policies, procedures and guidelines, and is expected to ensure that risks are appropriately measured and prioritised by the business.
The Operational Risk Manager will possess extensive experience of the management of operational risks and have broad IT knowledge including application, security, service and infrastructure management. You will have experience of business continuity planning as well as disaster recovery and have knowledge and experience of supplier management, including IT third parties. You will have experience of creating risk control frameworks and the appropriate reporting and knowledge of the software delivery life cycle across project delivery methods. Experience of mortgage lending would be advantageous.
