Structured Credit Product Controller
A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Structured Credit Product Controller to join their London-based Finance department. This role offers you the chance to work within a highly respected product control function, interacting with multiple business areas and gaining exposure to a wide range of structured credit products including Credit Default Swaps, Indices, Credit Linked Notes, Total Return Swaps, Structured Repos and Loans.
What you'll do:
- Oversee the structured credit product portfolio with exposure to complex instruments such as Credit Default Swaps, Indices, Credit Linked Notes, Total Return Swaps, Structured Repos and Loans, ensuring accurate valuation controls and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain oversight of all financial resource metrics including Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Leverage Exposure and Funding requirements, delivering value-added analysis on resource usage and returns.
- Coordinate the finance response for new products and non-standard transactions, ensuring proposals meet revenue return requirements and align with accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulatory developments to critically assess new business proposals.
- Support business advisory activities by analysing performance data, substantiating balance sheets, and implementing robust valuation controls.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Global Markets, Risk, Operations and other corporate areas to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency, accuracy and value-add for clients or stakeholders.
- Present findings clearly to senior management through well-prepared reports and presentations that highlight business performance, challenges and opportunities.
What you bring:
- Relevant experience in product control with demonstrable understanding of derivatives and financial instruments
- Ideally exposure to structured credit products such as credit derivatives (CDS), indices, credit linked notes or total return swaps.
