What you'll do:

  • Provide comprehensive oversight of BAU controls and processes related to MiFID regulatory reporting, ensuring all activities meet internal and external standards.
  • Supervise regular meetings with stakeholders across regions, maintaining clear communication channels and managing expectations effectively.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at continually improving both process efficiency and control environments within the regulatory reporting function.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory changes, assess their impact on current practices, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain full compliance.
  • Maintain an ongoing dialogue with key business and corporate stakeholders to align strategies and ensure consistent understanding of objectives.
  • Proactively manage breach processes by taking ownership of issues from identification through resolution, including technology remediation and back reporting.
  • Support senior management by providing timely updates on progress, challenges, and achievements within the department.
  • Engage in horizon scanning by attending industry forums to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in regulatory reporting.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of MiFID regulatory reporting requirements within financial markets, including best practice controls and process optimisation.
  • Showcase strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to prioritise tasks and allocate workload efficiently across key focus areas.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication abilities that enable you to articulate complex messages clearly through written reports, presentations, or verbal discussions.
  • Display a proactive approach combined with flexibility when managing requests or adapting to new challenges within a dynamic environment.
  • Bring experience gained from working in financial services ideally within a MiFID regulatory reporting capacity—where you have developed sound business acumen.
  • Possess good business knowledge acquired through direct involvement in front office, middle office or back office functions within financial institutions.
  • Utilise advanced analytical skills along with synthesis capabilities to interpret data accurately and inform decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that allow you to operate effectively within global teams while building lasting connections across departments.
  • Have hands-on experience using digital tools and data analytic platforms which enhance your ability to manage large volumes of information efficiently.
