Derivative Confirmations and Settlements Associate

Role: Derivative Operations / Confirmations & Settlements Associate Location: London (Canary Wharf) Contract position - must be immediately available (or maximum of 1 month notice period)

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily processing, confirmation and settlement of derivative trades across EMEA, including products such as IR swaps, Cross-Currency swaps, Caps/Floors, Inflation swaps, and FX options.

• End-to-end trade lifecycle management, from trade capture through payments and general ledger.

• Draft and send ISDA and long-form trade confirmations, including bespoke confirmation language for non-standard trades.

• Monitor modification queues in systems (e.g., SAA, Montran) and take actions to release payments.

• Manage derivative transaction workflows and resolve settlement breaks and exceptions.

• Handle client/counterparty communication (affirmation, confirmation, issue resolution). Support cross-functional teams (Front Office, Risk, Operations) and contribute to process improvements.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with derivatives settlements (IRS, CCY swaps, FX options, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of ISDA Definitions and ability to prepare trade documentation.

• Experience in trade matching, confirmation production, and exception management.

• Understanding of payment formats and lifecycle workflows (MT103/MT202 where needed).
