What you'll do:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for FICC trade desks, back office teams, and clients regarding trade discrepancies, verification, amendments, allocations, funding position reconciliations, profit and loss reconciliations, trade booking, collateral management, and secured or unsecured funding activities.
  • Execute assigned day-to-day FICC Trade Support activities with precision and efficiency to ensure timely completion of all tasks related to various EMEA trading books.
  • Support the resolution of trade discrepancies or exceptions by escalating issues to management when necessary and ensuring all matters are addressed promptly.
  • Assist in the introduction of new products, technologies or processes by participating in analysis, testing, and implementation activities aligned with business partner initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Trading Products desks and Product Operations as well as external partners to facilitate seamless FICC Trade Support operations.
  • Participate actively in stakeholder forums including Project Delivery, Technology, Regulatory and Risk meetings to support ongoing FICC Trade Support activities.
  • Identify potential risk situations within the scope of FICC Trade Support responsibilities and escalate these risks appropriately while ensuring adherence to internal directives and approvals.
  • Contribute to contingency planning by testing procedures and updating documentation regularly in line with market best practice guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing responsive, accurate, consistent support that builds trust among colleagues and clients alike.
  • Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement in operational effectiveness across Global Trade Support activities while developing excellent working relationships throughout Capital Markets.

What you bring:

  • Ideally 5 years of experience and specialist knowledge in Bonds, Swaps or Repo.
  • Possess practical experience using trading systems such as Calypso, Bloomberg TOMS, MarkitWire or similar platforms; exposure to spreadsheet automation tools like Python or VBA would be advantageous.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills enabling you to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organisation as well as external partners.
  • Display excellent investigative abilities coupled with problem-solving acumen ensuring meticulous attention to detail when addressing complex issues or discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking capabilities alongside sound judgement when making recommendations or decisions within defined authority limits.
  • Show adaptability by thriving in environments subject to frequent change while maintaining high standards of organisation across multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Bring a positive attitude towards continuous learning, embracing training opportunities provided by the company while contributing proactively towards process enhancements.
