A leading global financial institution is seeking a Listed Derivatives Operations Specialist to join their expanding London team. This role offers you the chance to work at the heart of a multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm, providing essential banking, securities, and asset management services to clients worldwide. Degree essential. 5 days in office. Initial 6 month contract.

What you'll do:

As a Listed Derivatives Operations Specialist based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the seamless flow of business across multiple global derivatives exchanges. Your day-to-day activities will involve processing client trades with precision, collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to resolve queries swiftly, and managing risk through diligent oversight of executions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records through thorough reconciliations and position management while building strong relationships with stakeholders. Success in this role requires you to embrace continuous learning opportunities offered by the organisation, actively participate in team initiatives, and contribute positively to a culture rooted in dependability, inclusivity, and supportive leadership.

  • Provide operational support for client trade processing across a wide variety of global derivatives markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams as well as external banks and brokers to facilitate query resolution and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Manage real-time risk associated with executions by monitoring trades, identifying exceptions, and implementing appropriate controls.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations and position management tasks to ensure portfolios accurately reflect trading activity.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and clients by demonstrating empathy, understanding their needs, and managing expectations professionally.
  • Utilise internal systems efficiently to navigate day-to-day tasks, resolve exceptions, and deliver high-quality work under time pressure.
  • Contribute to the development of team goals by acting in accordance with organisational policies and maintaining awareness of reputational risk.
  • Support revenue-driven businesses by ensuring operational processes are robust, compliant, and aligned with best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training programmes to expand your knowledge of listed derivatives products and markets.

What you bring:

To excel as a Listed Derivatives Operations Specialist, you will bring proven experience in financial operations or similar roles where attention to detail is paramount.
