Join a knowledgeable and inclusive team dedicated to supporting high-profile institutional clients and hedge funds across Europe, providing front-to-back post-execution support for synthetic products. As a Synthetic Client Middle Office Analyst based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Synthetic Products Group Trading Desk and its diverse client base of large institutions and hedge funds.

What you'll do:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre on managing risk exposures, overseeing trade allocations, reconciling complex transactions, and responding promptly to client queries.

  • Actively manage risk and profit & loss for all client equity derivative trading accounts by monitoring positions and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Oversee timely allocation of a high volume of synthetic trades and associated hedges across multiple flows, resolving any resulting economic breaks efficiently.
  • Handle incoming queries from clients, custodians, prime brokerage representatives, sales teams, trading desks, and other internal stakeholders with professionalism and empathy.
  • Perform comprehensive trade reconciliation and risk reconciliation tasks to maintain robust controls around business processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement in operational processes by collaborating with colleagues and documenting procedures to enhance overall business controls.
  • Document procedures and process flows meticulously to strengthen control frameworks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct daily reviews of control reports to ensure accuracy in trade bookings and effective risk management practices.
  • Liaise with other teams across the organisation to facilitate prompt resolution of queries and promote inter-departmental cooperation.
  • Support strategic firm-wide infrastructure projects by contributing insights from middle office operations.
  • Participate in corporate actions processing as required, ensuring all relevant details are managed accurately.
