A leading global investment manager is seeking a Transaction Processing Officer specialising in Corporate Actions to join their London team.
What you'll do:
As a Transaction Processing Officer – Corporate Actions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of post-execution trade activities. Your daily responsibilities will include monitoring lifecycle events for trades, processing corporate actions and proxy votes on behalf of managed funds, overseeing collateral movements, and confirming trade accuracy. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple departments—such as compliance, risk management, legal—and external partners like brokers and custodians. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail when reviewing processes for improvement, prompt escalation of issues to senior management, and proactive engagement with internal teams to resolve breaks or failing trades. Your ability to respond efficiently to business queries while supporting audit requirements will contribute significantly to the overall effectiveness of the transaction processing function.
- Undertake day-to-day transaction processing duties while providing coverage during periods of high volume or unexpected absences to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow defined standards, procedures, and policies meticulously while identifying potential efficiencies that can enhance workflow within the team.
- Meet all deadlines and deliverables both individually and as part of a team by maintaining clear communication and effective time management.
- Escalate exceptions and issues promptly to the Head of Transaction Processing so that risks are managed proactively.
- Review processes and procedures regularly to identify areas for improvement that maximise efficiency and effectiveness across the department.
- Develop positive working relationships with internal departments such as Investment Managers, Compliance, Legal, Risk Management & Control, Distribution, Finance, HR as well as third-party service providers.
- Monitor, process, and input voluntary corporate action events and proxy votes in line with agreed processes to ensure accurate fund management.
- Oversee collateral movements within established timeframes by coordinating with relevant stakeholders for timely execution.
- Monitor trade flow to confirm that all transaction bookings, cancellations, and amendments are processed correctly with necessary instructions sent to counterparties and custodians.
- Ensure FX netting processes result in eligible transactions being closed efficiently by instructing netting trades as required.

- Minimum four years’ experience in transaction processing within an investment management firm or investment bank is essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated understanding of corporate actions—particularly voluntary events spanning multiple funds/custodians—and proxy voting is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of collateral processes as well as trade instruction, confirmation, fails, and settlements processes is vital.
- Robust familiarity with all instrument types including those specific to emerging markets enhances your ability to manage complex transactions.
- Flexibility in managing urgent tasks while adjusting smoothly to shifting priorities ensures consistent performance under pressure.
- Exceptional organisational skills combined with problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking support high levels of accuracy in daily operations.
- Competence using data-rich systems such as portfolio accounting platforms alongside excellent Microsoft Office proficiency enables efficient workflow management.
- Proven track record of building dependable relationships with internal teams (investment managers, compliance) and external parties (brokers/custodians) fosters effective collaboration.
- Experience responding promptly to business/client/third-party queries demonstrates your commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to support internal client/regulatory audit requirements showcases your thoroughness and reliability.
