Collateral - Margining and Futures Operations

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Collateral Specialist to join a dynamic team within a leading global financial services group. This role plays a pivotal part in managing and optimising collateral across various financial products, ensuring efficient margining processes for OTC, Repurchase Agreements (repo), Futures, and Clearing. The successful candidate will be integral to the team's efforts in managing daily margin calls, client reporting, and collateral optimisation.

What you'll do:

  • Manage daily margin calls and ensure efficient margining processes.
  • Conduct client reporting and work on collateral optimisation.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, trading desks, and credit officers to innovate and streamline processes.
  • Enhance product coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of margining operations.
  • Contribute directly to the firm's growth and success in the competitive investment banking sector.

Required:

  • Previous experience in Margining & Collateral Operations.
  • Solid understanding of margining processes and financial products.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • A proactive, resilient, risk-aware mindset with a positive approach to challenges.
