Our client is seeking a Trade Control Analyst to join their dynamic team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the Capital Markets sector, providing control services for all Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Cash Equity products across North America, UK/EU, and Asia regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and verifying trade flows through various source systems, ensuring accuracy for downstream stakeholders. What you'll do:
As a Trade Control Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting Global Markets Trading and Sales teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all transactions executed by the front office are accurately booked into the requisite applications. You will verify trade details, run daily reports, reconcile trades between systems, and maintain a high level of product knowledge. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will need to respond rapidly to requests from the trading floor while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Your organised approach to record keeping will be essential for audit purposes.
* Verify all trade details against blotters, broker confirms, external trading platforms, trade tickets and trader’s files.
* Run daily reports associated with the Trade Control group as part of the groups control processes.
* Reconcile trades between internal and external systems.
* Maintain a high level of knowledge of Capital Markets business products.
* Work within a challenging, fast paced environment where time pressures demand a rapid response to requests from the trading floor.
* Review trade information in booking systems with focused attention to detail.
* Organise record keeping of daily controls for audit purposes.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Trade Control Analyst position will bring a wealth of relevant experience along with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or related field. You should have strong knowledge of derivatives, fixed income and equity products along with operational and settlement practices. Your technical skills should include intermediate Excel knowledge, specifically for reconciling datasets from different sources. You will have a strong understanding of the division of major departments in a bank and the flow of information. Your ability to accurately respond to queries regarding trade details and discrepancies in a timely manner will be crucial. Strong communication skills are required when dealing with back office personnel, investigations officers, traders, marketers and middle office with regards to trade bookings and amendments.
* Undergraduate university degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Accounting.
* 1-3 years of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of derivatives, fixed income, and equity products - operational and settlement practices of bonds, stocks, swaps, options, futures, and foreign exchange.
* Intermediate Excel knowledge for reconciling data sets from different sources.
* Strong understanding of the division of major departments in a bank and the flow of information.
* Ability to accurately respond to queries regarding trade details and discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Strong communication skills required when dealing with back office personnel.
* Solid problem-solving skills and analytical thinking ability.
* Effective interpersonal skills including good teamwork and relationship building.
