Our client is on the lookout for a Senior Collateral Officer to join their dynamic team in London. What you'll do:
As a Senior Collateral Officer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the timely and accurate handling of Repo and equity margin calls in London. You'll be working closely with the wider team in Toronto, processing margin calls, highlighting discrepancies, and providing satisfactory service to business partners and clients. Your expertise will be crucial in managing intra exposure risk, processing security collateral movements, investigating margin settlement fails, and overseeing front-to-back reconciliations.
* Act as point of contact for Front Office and Back Office in relation to collateral questions.
* Agree and process Repo bi-lateral and Tri-party margin calls.
* Agree and process Equity bi-lateral and Tri-party margin calls.
* Handle processing Security Collateral Movements.
* Investigate margin settlement fails and liaise with external and internal teams.
* Distribute Monthly Client Statements.
* Manage monthly process of repo cash collateral Interest.
* Participate in Portfolio Reconciliation Process.
* Monitor Triparty account.
* Oversee front to back reconciliations.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Collar Officer role brings a wealth of experience in CREST / Euroclear / Clearstream / LCH RepoClear / Bondlend. Your Repo/SBL & OTC margin experience will be invaluable in this role. You have an excellent understanding of Securities Borrowing and Lending processes along with an in-depth knowledge of margin/collar processes. Your ability to prioritise requirements coupled with your strong interpersonal skills sets you apart from others. Experience with EquiLend exposure management modules, Tri-Resolve, SWIFT, Apex and strong Excel Skills will be a significant advantage.
* Previous experience of CREST / Euroclear / Clearstream / LCH RepoClear / Bondlend is essential.
* Repo/SBL & OTC margin experience is required.
* Excellent understanding of Securities Borrowing and Lending and Repo processes.
* In-depth understanding of margin/collateral processes and collateral portfolio reconciliations.
* Experience with EquiLend exposure management modules is desirable.
* Experience with Tri-Resolve, SWIFT, Apex and strong Excel Skills are beneficial.
* Ability to prioritize requirements effectively.
* Strong Interpersonal Skills are necessary.
* Experience in dealing directly with clients via phone or email.
