An excellent Opportunity is available with a leading investment management stockbroking business based in Birmingham City centre for an Operations Assistant on a permanent basis. This business operate an agile working pattern with three office days and two remote days per week.

You will work across various teams in live service including reconciliations and settlements within live service and undertake the activities assigned within the operations department.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Undertake the activities and tasks assigned within the Operations Department
• Accurately process and settle security trades, delivery versus payment within specific market deadlines
• Accurately process and settle security transfers, free of payment within market deadlines
• Process all client payments and receipts using various methods including Chaps, BACS and Cheque
• Process all client fees
• ISA/JISA Subscription processing
• HMRC and MiFID II reporting
• Liaise with their operational functions
• Identify and escalate any areas of risk
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies arsing
• Review and resolve cash and security reconciliation breaks

The Operations Assistant will have experience of having worked within an operations back office environment within a financial institution ideally with some client accounts, payments, settlements exposure. You will have good system skills with particular knowledge of Microsoft Excel and have knowledge or awareness of tax.
