Our client is seeking a highly skilled Fund Controller to oversee its transportation investments globally across several fund structures. The successful candidate will have significant post-qualification experience in transportation, private equity, infrastructure, or real estate accounting. They will be responsible for driving the financial management and reporting process, which includes both client and internal reporting requirements.

What you'll do:

As a Fund Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our client's transportation investments globally across several fund structures. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a financial infrastructure that operates efficiently and flexibly to respond to the demands of a growth-oriented business. Your role will involve active participation in the determination and review of investment valuations. You will also collaborate closely with the investments team to facilitate effective deal execution.

• Provide oversight and support in managing Global Transportation Funds
• Actively manage fund structures operationally, including cash management, vendor management and investor reporting
• Collaborate with the investments team to facilitate effective deal execution
• Broadly interact with independent external auditors, tax practitioners, legal advisors, and third-party service providers
• Actively participate in the determination and review of investment valuations
• Manage and prepare SPV budgets, funding analysis and work with lenders

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Fund Controller position brings significant post-qualification experience in transportation, private equity, infrastructure, or real estate accounting. You are familiar with open-end or closed-end funds, limited partnerships, and operating company investments. Your understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and ability to work with other GAAPs sets you apart. As a Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA), you have a strong foundation in accounting principles. Your computer literacy and strong knowledge of Excel enable you to perform your duties effectively.

• Significant post-qualification experience in transportation, private equity, infrastructure, or real estate accounting
• Experience in open-end or closed-end funds, limited partnerships, and operating company investments
• Understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and ability to work with other GAAPs
• Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA) equivalent required
• Familiarity with currency implications/accounting treatment, Fair Market Value accounting
• Computer literacy and strong knowledge of Excel
