What You'll Do:
As a Management Accountant, you will play an integral role in supporting business decision-making through insightful financial analysis and reporting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing detailed board packs for senior management, coordinating statutory accounts for group entities, assisting with audits, and ensuring regulatory submissions are completed accurately. You will also be involved in budgeting processes, bank reconciliations, and identifying areas for process improvement. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective collaboration with colleagues across departments, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines. By providing reliable support during busy periods or staff absences, you will help maintain continuity within the finance function while contributing positively to the overall team dynamic.
* Prepare monthly board packs for the Group’s Board, ensuring all financial data is accurate and presented clearly for senior management review.
* Coordinate the production of bi-annual financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
* Assist with the external audit process by providing timely information and supporting documentation to auditors.
* Prepare accurate and timely regulatory report submissions in line with Financial Conduct Authority requirements.
* Collaborate on the production of budgets and forecasts, contributing valuable insights to financial planning activities.
* Perform bank reconciliations efficiently, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
* Identify and deliver process improvements across finance operations, helping streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
* Provide support across the department during periods of annual leave or increased workload, fostering a dependable team environment.
* Work closely with colleagues on special projects that drive organisational growth and efficiency.
