Capital Regulatory Reporting
A leading UK-based financial services specialist is seeking a Capital Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join their central finance division in London. You will play an integral role in producing and reviewing key regulatory returns that underpin the organisation’s compliance with both UK and international authorities.
What you'll do:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end process for capital-related reporting (Own Funds, Large Exposure, Leverage) to UK regulators using automated systems, including co-ordination, data review, issue clearance, sign-off, and procedural enhancements.
- Manage the complete cycle for capital-related reporting to international regulators, ensuring all aspects from data review to procedural improvements are handled efficiently.
- Lead the closure of regulatory reporting-related data quality issues (DQIs), guaranteeing accuracy and completeness in all submissions.
- Enhance overall governance by improving reconciliation processes and reviewing procedures regularly to maintain high standards of compliance.
- Identify opportunities for automation and risk reduction by continuously improving manual processes through innovative solutions.
- Provide cover for other monthly and quarterly reporting cycles as well as month-end tasks when required by the team.
- Assist with any additional responsibilities assigned by the Regulatory Reporting Manager, contributing positively to team objectives.
What you bring:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualification is essential for demonstrating your technical expertise in accounting standards relevant to regulatory reporting.
- Proven experience in capital regulatory reporting within banking or financial services environments is highly desirable for understanding sector-specific requirements.
- Broad understanding of banking products enables you to interpret financial data within context and provide valuable insights during reviews.
- Exceptional attention to detail allows you to maintain high levels of accuracy across all aspects of regulatory returns.
- Strong communication skills empower you to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels while presenting findings clearly.
