Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager
A leading bank is seeking a Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager to join their UK Finance Shared Services team in London. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to work at the heart of regulatory reporting, supporting business growth and expansion across Europe and Asia Pacific. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with local and European regulations, driving process improvements, and collaborating with a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders.
Duties:
- Your day-to-day activities will involve analysing complex financial products, streamlining data processes through automation tools, interpreting new regulatory requirements, and collaborating closely with technical teams.
- You will also be responsible for maintaining rigorous documentation standards, supporting key compliance initiatives such as ICAAP and Pillar 3 submissions, coordinating policy reviews with senior management, and acting as the point person for SOX-related activities.
- Assist with the completion of regulatory returns for various European legal entities, ensuring all submissions meet local and European requirements and deadlines.
- Review current reporting processes and manual interventions, identifying opportunities to automate and streamline workflows using tools like Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Interpret regulatory rules and policy notices related to prudential returns, assess their impact on reporting requirements, and advise on necessary changes.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Technical teams to implement new guidelines including CRR3 updates and product initiatives.
- Coordinate annual reviews of regulatory policy statements for presentation to regional senior management, ensuring alignment with underlying requirements.
- Act as Regional SOX Officer by overseeing SOX testing, documentation, and reporting responsibilities.
What you bring:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with at least five years post-qualification experience within wholesale/Investment banking or similar environments.
- Demonstrable product knowledge of derivatives including swaps, options, and forwards is required for effective analysis.
- Proven experience interpreting complex regulatory rules within banking environments; familiarity with SACCR and FRTB is essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory; experience with VBA or SQL would be highly beneficial for data manipulation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with data automation tools (e.g., Alteryx) and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau) enhances process efficiency.
