Tax Investigations Specialist

Our client is a premier and large specialist Forensic Accountancy practice in the UK, with a proven track record in delivering high-quality advice in select market areas. They are seeking an experienced Tax Investigations Specialist to bolster their current team and assist them in continuing to deliver their market-leading services. This unique role will involve working hand in hand with the current departmental head to grow out the department in this phase of dynamic expansion.

What you'll do:

• Assist thousands of taxpayers to bring their tax affairs up to date
• Work on voluntary disclosure facilities or assist in investigations and/or compliance enquiries
• Review disclosure reports prepared by junior members of the team
• Carry a caseload as required
• Work closely with the departmental head to grow out the department

What you bring:

• At least 5 years Tax Investigation experience
• Working knowledge of tax legislation relating to personal income, including self-assessment, Capital Gains Tax and HMRC's penalty regimes
• Professionally qualified/part qualified (AAT/ATT/ACA/ACCA/CTA) or Qualified by experience
• Detailed understanding of key HMRC disclosure options, such as the LPC, WDF and CDF
