What you'll do:
As a Revenue Accountant - Billings and Collections, your role will be pivotal in managing financial transactions. You will oversee the entire billing process, ensuring all invoices are accurate and timely. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised in resolving any billing issues that arise. You will also manage the collections team, developing strategies to improve cash flow. Your leadership skills will shine as you guide your team towards achieving their goals. You will also be involved in month end close processes, SOX compliance, external reporting and assisting with audit.
* Oversee the billing process for buyside invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Review and approve invoice in the monthly billing run, ensuring compliance with company policies and client agreements.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and optimise collections strategies.
* Manage the collections team, tracking outstanding accounts and initiating collection efforts.
* Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for internal billing queries and assist collections with client queries.
* Lead and mentor the billing and collections team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
What you bring:
- Qualified Accountant is preferred, preferably with experience within financial services industry
- Experience with month end close processes, SOX compliance and external reporting is highly desirable
- Understanding of billing and collections processes, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Oracle Billing & AR systems.
- Capital Markets knowledge is desirable.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
