A dynamic financial services company within the Buy Side space are looking to hire a Financial Analyst into the team. The Finance team plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business decisions, and maintaining regulatory compliance. This role will be best suited to candidates moving out of Audit and into the Financial Services Industry. Please note - this role does NOT offer Sponsorship.

As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate across the finance team to deliver month-end close processes. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, supporting external audits, and contributing to management accounting. You’ll also research technical accounting positions and ensure the completeness of general ledger entries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to execute month-end close activities.
  • Prepare financial statements and support external audit processes.
  • Generate monthly management accounts and other financial reports.
  • Handle prudential regulatory returns (FCA & JFSC).
  • Document technical accounting positions.
  • Ensure accurate general ledger entries.

Requirements:

  • Recently Qualified Accountant with financial accounting experience (audit or accounting role).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/UK GAAP).
  • Familiarity with audit cycles.
  • Experience dealing with Financial Services clients
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
