It Category Manager role
Working closely with the Senior Management in managing the category plans for the IT subcategory, continuously reviewing and analysing category management plans to ensure optimal efficiency.
Naturally, your role at this level will involve a good level of understanding within the IT space, you will be responsible for constantly monitoring the supplier market and identify opportunities in terms of new product offerings and market shifts in terms of new/emerging suppliers.
Mitigating risk and cost savings are important throughout your role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate examples of where you have achieved this in previous roles on a global scale.
What You'll Need To Succeed
You will need end-to-end procurement experience on an EMEA or global scale, specifically with IT sourcing with an uderstanding of hardware, cloud or maninframe systems.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and need to be a strong negotiator. Your CV will need to be detailed, showing that you have worked on strategic procurement projects focusing on IT.
CIPS qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
